Ajhalu ma sawfa ya’ti fil ghadi aw baa’dahu

fal ghadu fi elmi rabi laysa khafen indahu

laysa hami ma yasiru min umurin atiyat

hami an ordiya rabi fil hayati wal mamat

Lastu adri ma yakunu min hayati fil ghadi

aa’lamu shaya’n yaqinan rabi mumsikon yadi

​

Aa’lamu darbu muneron aa’lamu rabi amin

fahwa li khayru rafiqen wahwa li khayru mo’en

a’n qariben sawfa amdi ila mawtin-il khulud

haythu la damo’u yasilo la wala lmawto yasud

​

Ajhalu lmostaqbalati ajhalu ma sa yakun

enama aa’lamu ana sayidi abon hanun

fahwa yu’na bi-toyuri wa katha bi yaa’tani

damuhu yakfini sitran rohuhu yamla’uni

I’m unaware of what the future will hold

I don’t know what the future will hold / God knows for there is nothing hidden from Him / I’m not anxious about what’s going to happen / My only desire is to please my God in life and in death / I don’t know where life will lead me / But I know one thing for certain / My Lord will hold my hand through it all / I know the path is lit before me / I know my Lord is faithful / He is my support and my best friend / Soon I will go on to eternity / Where there are no more tears or death / I’m unaware of what the future will bring and I don’t know what will be/ But my Master is a compassionate Father / He takes care of the birds and He will take care of me / His Spirit fills me and His blood is enough to protect me
